Role Overview

HVAC Technician at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, Hilton. The role is based at the resort property.

Role Purpose

You will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal comfort and satisfaction for Guests and Team Members.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance and Installation

• Maintain HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, ventilation units, and exhaust fans to ensure reliable operation and optimal performance.
• Install, inspect, test, and maintain HVAC systems and equipment.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and servicing to maximize equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend the life of HVAC systems.

Diagnosis and Repair

• Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and carry out repairs.
• Replace motors, compressors, coils, belts, thermostats, refrigerant lines, and other HVAC components while following safety and quality standards.
• Respond promptly to HVAC-related service requests.
• Respond effectively to equipment failures, refrigerant leaks, ventilation issues, and other emergency situations to minimize operational disruption.

Compliance and Safety

• Inspect HVAC systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and environmental standards.
• Identify and report potential hazards or system inefficiencies.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and completed work orders.
• Report issues requiring further attention.

Energy and Special Projects

• Assist with energy management programs, HVAC system upgrades, and optimization projects to improve system performance and reduce energy consumption.
• Perform additional maintenance duties and special projects as assigned by management to support the Engineering and Facilities team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in HVAC Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Valid HVAC Technician Licenses.
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

• Sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to building services.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment.
• Attention to safety and quality standards.
