HVAC TECHNICAL ENGINEER

Role Overview

HVAC Technical Engineer at NMDC Group. This role provides technical engineering leadership for HVAC and refrigeration systems across marine and offshore vessels.

Role Purpose

Ensure effective execution of preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems while supporting troubleshooting, system performance optimization, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Operations

• Lead HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Diagnose technical failures and recommend engineering solutions.
• Support testing, inspections, and performance reporting.

Technical Review & Documentation

• Review drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate P&IDs and commissioning requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with workshop teams, OEMs, contractors, vendors, fleet, logistics, and project teams.
• Support procurement and spare parts planning.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, engineering standards, classification requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and HSE regulations.

Continuous Improvement

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational continuity.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, design, and electrical control systems.
• Marine, offshore support vessel, dredging vessel, or similar industry experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical controls, PLCs, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of drawings and P&IDs.
• Strong leadership and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong planning and communication skills.
• Strong HSE awareness.
