Role Purpose
To promote a strong Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality culture across operations, support compliance with legal and company standards, contribute to risk management initiatives, and maintain a safe, sustainable, and high-performing work environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Systems Management
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Maintain HSEQ and ISO documentation, ensuring records, procedures, and site practices remain accurate, compliant, and audit ready.
Inspection, Audit & Risk Assessment
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying hazards and driving corrective actions to enhance safety and operational performance.
Incident Management
- Support incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and ensure effective preventive and corrective measures are implemented and sustained.
Training & Awareness
- Deliver HSEQ inductions and awareness training to employees, contractors, and visitors, promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Operations and key stakeholders to support Permit to Work processes, manage high-risk activities, and drive continuous improvement in HSEQ performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) or a related field.
- 3 or more years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- NEBOSH or OSHA certification is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
