Role Overview
HR Specialist - Manpower Optimisation at Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC).

Role Purpose
Develop and implement manpower forecasting models, workforce planning strategies, and optimization solutions to align resource allocation with business strategy, operational efficiency, and cost control across assigned business units.
Key Responsibilities
Manpower Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and implement effective manpower forecasting models and methods across various business units to accurately predict future workforce requirements based on business needs, growth plans, and industry trends.
- Develop medium and short-term manpower plans and rosters for assigned business areas in line with business plans, Engagement Standards, and Service Level Agreements.
- Drive effective manpower planning, analysis, and optimization to ensure alignment with business strategy, operational efficiency, and cost control.
Workforce Analysis & Reporting
- Gather, analyse, and interpret workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop reports and presentations to influence senior management and relevant stakeholders for data-driven decision making.
Standards & Compliance
- Establish engagement standards, shift preferences, breaks, rest days, and fair distribution of workload through negotiations and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage change management processes for manpower planning and budgeting purposes.
- Validate manpower proposals using system reports and templates to ensure shift and roster rules compliance.
Audit & Review
- Conduct review and manpower audit on approved recommendations within agreed timelines to ensure recommendations are adhered to.
Business Analysis & Optimization
- Evaluate business cases and profitability figures using finance tools and recommend appropriate business solutions in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in business processes that impact manpower budgets and suggest recommendations for changes to the business and senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in resource management, manpower planning, or similar discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in catering, airport, or similar operations.
- Working experience in airport resource management systems within a large organisation is an added advantage.
