Role Purpose

To ensure linen availability, maintain inventory control, and support housekeeping operations across all floors while upholding cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Linen Management

• Ensure linen is available for all floors as requested.
• Oversee the issuing of linen via a requisition system.
• Maintain par stocks at required levels.
• Assist supervisors with the counting of linen during inventory.

Quality & Standards

• Ensure quality controls are in place for all linen processes, rejecting any exceptions.
• Ensure team members adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations.
• Ensure soiled linen and garbage are removed promptly from the lift landing area to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a presentable environment at all times.

Operations & Inventory

• Maintain cleanliness of the housekeeping pantry and store.
• Carry out stock takes as requested.
• Take receipt of stock and ensure safe storage.
• Communicate with co-workers regarding shortages and special requests.

Guest & Service Management

• Manage customer service issues quickly and effectively.
• Manage guest requests and traces promptly and effectively.

General Duties

• Carry out any other reasonable task set by the hotel's management.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal format.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
