Role Purpose

Manage the front-of-house guest experience by seating guests, coordinating reservations, maintaining the hostess stand, and anticipating guest needs to ensure Four Seasons service standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Seating

• Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference.
• Anticipate the needs of guests and respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems.
• Recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest's name consistently.

Reservations & Communication

• Answer telephones according to Four Seasons standards.
• Take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service.

Station & Setup Management

• Set up hostess stand and review guest reservation book daily.
• Make recommendations as to the set-up of the room.
• Maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server.
• Ensure proper table set-up and make minor adjustments as needed.

Menu & Standards Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance.
• Develop a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.

Operations & Collaboration

• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Complete special projects including menu changes and signage as instructed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree holder, preferably in hotel and restaurant management.
• One to two years of experience with a luxury hotel in a luxury hotel and resort.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Passion for excellence and guest service.
• Ability to work in a warm, dynamic, fast-paced and responsive environment.
