Role Purpose

To interpret client business needs and produce creative, accurate, high-quality graphic design work across multiple briefs simultaneously, balancing innovation with cost, time, and client constraints while maintaining departmental standards and meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Design Development

• Interpret client business needs with support from the Senior Graphic Designer or Publishing Manager.
• Develop design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify design issues.
• Think creatively to produce new ideas.
• Use innovation to redefine a design brief and meet constraints of cost, time, and client requirements.
• Contribute ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
• Produce accurate and high-quality work.
• Be flexible and ready to revise design until client approval is obtained.

Design Execution

• Use a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design.
• Handle work independently with minimum supervision.
• Multi-task and work on more than one design brief simultaneously.
• Work to tight deadlines.
• Finish assigned jobs within specified timeframes.
• Update technology skills regularly.
• Keep abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programs.
• Find solutions to work-related problems.

Client Relations & Presentations

• Never upset the client.
• Never force design concepts onto the client.
• Deliver marketing presentations for business development purposes.
• Maintain flexibility to take on any challenges in the job.

Operational Management

• Follow the Standard Operating Procedures of the Department.
• Maintain departmental discipline.
• Comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl DG.
• Read, understand, and comply with all Information Security Policies and Procedures.
• Immediately report all Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, and incidents (actual or suspected) to the IT Service Desk.
• Cooperate, coordinate, and share information with Internal and External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
• Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.

Quality & Service Standards

• Apply awareness of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

Committee & Development Participation

• Represent the department or a group in various committees, such as the Staff Committee, Green Theme (environmental), Food Committee, Sport Committee, or projects.
• Participate in Fire Marshall or First Aider training as requested.
• Participate in various extra activities contributing towards individual and organizational growth in line with the club's continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Pre-University College qualification with English.
• Diploma in Advertising.

Skills & Competencies

• Very good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Very good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Very good working knowledge of InDesign.
• Very good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Very good working knowledge of Quark Xpress.
• Very good working knowledge of iWork software.
• Typography skills in Arabic and English.
• Good communicative skill.
• Knowledge of advertising concepts.
