Role Overview

Graduate Engineering Training Program – Kuwait Fund Collaboration-6 at GE Vernova. A structured nine-month engineering internship program for recent engineering graduates, combining technical learning, hands-on experience, and exposure to GE Vernova's operations across regional facilities and Kuwait.

Role Purpose

Develop technical and professional capabilities required for a successful engineering career through practical exposure to the power and energy industry, working alongside experienced engineering teams and gaining hands-on experience with power generation technologies, operational practices, and professional working environments.

Key Responsibilities

Program Structure & Assignments

• Participate in a structured six-month internship and training assignment at one of GE Vernova's facilities in the region.
• Complete a three-month assignment at GEV KTC in Kuwait following the initial six-month placement.

Technical Support & Learning

• Support engineering teams in technical activities and projects related to power generation, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and processes.
• Gain practical exposure to GE Vernova technologies, engineering processes, and industry practices.
• Participate in technical training, workshops, site activities, and practical learning assignments as applicable.
• Apply engineering fundamentals and academic knowledge to practical assignments and real-world applications.

Project Engagement & Problem-Solving

• Work closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to understand engineering challenges and contribute to problem-solving activities.
• Support assigned projects focused on engineering systems, tooling, processes, data analysis, or operational improvement.

Reporting & Communication

• Present findings, progress, and recommendations throughout the program and as part of the final program evaluation.

Health & Safety

• Demonstrate commitment to GE Vernova's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and maintain safe working practices throughout all assignments.

Professional Development

• Actively participate in the learning program, seek feedback, and demonstrate continuous development throughout the nine-month training period.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Strong interest in the power and energy industry and willingness to develop technical knowledge in power generation technologies and engineering systems.
• Ability and willingness to participate in the full nine-month program, including six months in one of GE Vernova's facilities in the region and three months in Kuwait.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
