Role Overview

Graduate Engineering Training Program – Kuwait Fund Collaboration-5 with GE Vernova. The program is a structured nine-month engineering internship for recent engineering graduates, comprising six months at a GE Vernova facility in the region and three months at GEV KTC in Kuwait.

Role Purpose

Provide recent engineering graduates with practical exposure to the power and energy industry through technical learning, hands-on engineering experience, and immersion in GE Vernova's operations and engineering practices. The program develops both technical and professional capabilities required for a successful engineering career.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Learning & Project Support

• Support engineering teams in technical activities and projects related to power generation, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, processes, and other relevant engineering disciplines.
• Gain practical exposure to GE Vernova technologies, engineering processes, and industry practices.
• Support assigned projects focused on engineering systems, tooling, processes, data analysis, or operational improvement.
• Apply engineering fundamentals and academic knowledge to practical assignments and real-world applications.

Training & Development

• Participate in technical training, workshops, site activities, and practical learning assignments as applicable.
• Actively participate in the learning program, seek feedback, and demonstrate continuous development throughout the nine-month training period.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving

• Work closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to understand engineering challenges and contribute to problem-solving activities.

Reporting & Documentation

• Present findings, progress, and recommendations throughout the program and as part of the final program evaluation.

Safety & Compliance

• Demonstrate commitment to GE Vernova's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and maintain safe working practices throughout all assignments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Strong interest in the power and energy industry and willingness to develop technical knowledge in power generation technologies and engineering systems.
• Ability and willingness to participate in the full nine-month program, including six months in one of the company's facilities in the region and three months in Kuwait.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Willingness to learn and apply GE Vernova EHS, quality, and engineering practices.
