Role Overview

Graduate Engineering Training Program – Kuwait Fund Collaboration-2 at GE Vernova. A structured nine-month engineering internship program for recent engineering graduates, combining technical learning and hands-on experience in the power and energy industry.

Role Purpose

Develop technical and professional capabilities for a successful engineering career through structured exposure to GE Vernova's operations, engineering practices, power generation technologies, and real-world engineering challenges across regional facilities and Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Learning & Support

• Support engineering teams in technical activities and projects related to power generation, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and processes.
• Apply engineering fundamentals and academic knowledge to practical assignments and real-world applications.
• Support assigned projects focused on engineering systems, tooling, processes, data analysis, or operational improvement.
• Gain practical exposure to GE Vernova technologies, engineering processes, and industry practices.

Training & Development

• Participate in a structured six-month internship and training assignment at one of GE Vernova's facilities in the region, followed by a three-month assignment at GEV KTC in Kuwait.
• Participate in technical training, workshops, site activities, and practical learning assignments as applicable.
• Actively participate in the learning program, seek feedback, and demonstrate continuous development throughout the nine-month training period.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving

• Work closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to understand engineering challenges and contribute to problem-solving activities.

Reporting & Evaluation

• Present findings, progress, and recommendations throughout the program and as part of the final program evaluation.

Health & Safety

• Demonstrate commitment to GE Vernova's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and maintain safe working practices throughout all assignments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Strong interest in the power and energy industry and willingness to develop technical knowledge in power generation technologies and engineering systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Willingness to learn and apply GE Vernova EHS, quality, and engineering practices.

• Proactive, curious, and enthusiastic attitude toward engineering challenges and continuous learning.
• Strong interest in power systems, gas turbine technologies, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or the broader energy industry.

Additional Information

• Program duration: nine months (six months at regional GE Vernova facility, three months at GEV KTC in Kuwait).
• Ability and willingness to participate in the full nine-month program, including relocation to facilities in the region and Kuwait, is required.
