Graduate Civil Engineer – Bridges & Tunnels (Emirati National)

Role Overview

Graduate Civil Engineer – Bridges & Tunnels position with WSP Middle East. This role is open to Emirati Nationals and based in the Middle East region.

Role Purpose

To contribute to the design and delivery of innovative and sustainable bridges and tunnels projects across the Middle East, working alongside experienced professionals while developing technical expertise and supporting project execution to required standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Delivery

• Carry out discipline designs to required standards and quality.
• Ensure that all designs are reviewed to required standards.
• Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
• Provide input into the work of the Technical Working Group (TWG).

Project Compliance & Standards

• Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
• Ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.

Submittals & Documentation

• Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process.

Communication & Reporting

• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.

Strategy & Business Development

• Contribute to the delivery of the Business Unit strategy, including supporting the company's approach to sustainability.
• Provide feedback on all business development opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

• UAE National.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of professional experience in bridges and tunnels design projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant structural/bridge design tools.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, bridge and tunnel design standards, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

Additional Information

• Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as required.
