Role Overview

Golf Agronomy Foreman at Qiddiya Investment Company. This role is crucial in ensuring the health, quality, and playability of the golf course turf, green spaces, and surrounding landscapes.

Role Purpose

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the agronomy team, ensuring that agronomic practices meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability while maintaining world-class golf facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Supervise and manage agronomy staff in the daily maintenance of golf course turf, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and soil management.
• Implement turf management programs that optimize turf health and ensure excellent playing conditions.
• Monitor turf health and soil conditions, recommending and applying corrective measures as needed.
• Maintain inventory of agronomy supplies and equipment, ordering materials as needed.
• Coordinate the scheduling of maintenance activities to minimize disruption to golf course operations.

Compliance & Sustainability

• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all agronomy activities.
• Maintain familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable agronomy practices.

Team Leadership & Development

• Train and mentor agronomy staff, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
• Lead agronomy team management with strong leadership capabilities.

Planning & Strategy

• Collaborate with management to develop seasonal plans and budgets for agronomy operations.
• Work closely with golf course managers and agronomy specialists to implement effective turf management and maintenance programs.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in golf course agronomy and turf management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turf Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in golf course agronomy or turf management.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, soil science, pest control, irrigation systems, and fertility management.
• Hands-on experience with turf maintenance equipment and tools.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
