Role Overview

General Practitioner – Inhouse Clinic at Nahdi Care. Position reference: 202487.

Role Purpose

Diagnose and treat minor cases of illnesses in an inhouse clinic setting. Examine patients, take medical histories, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. Refer cases requiring further investigation to specialties or video consultation as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Documentation

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Examine patients and take medical histories.
• Design and execute the patient's plan of care.
• Order and review results of patients' investigations.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.

Patient Education & Counseling

• Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options, and medication use.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare as related to their individual cases.

Treatment & Prescribing

• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Administer vaccinations where applicable.
• Perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.

Referrals & Specialist Care

• Refer cases to clinic specialties when applicable.
• Refer cases requiring more investigation to specialties or video consultation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in medicine from recognized universities or SCHS license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Office and Health Information Systems proficiency.
• English language: fluent speaking and writing.
• Arabic language: fluent speaking and writing.

Additional Information

• Work Environment: 100% indoors.
• Working Pattern: 6 working days per week with 1 day off.
• Working Hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
• Additional duties may be assigned by manager based on business need.
