Role Overview
General Manager - South-East Asian Restaurant at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport.
Company Overview
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. Amenities include multiple swimming and wading pools, water features, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
Role Purpose
Lead all operational, culinary, financial, and people dimensions of a South-East Asian restaurant to deliver flawless service, maximize profitability, and uphold Wynn's brand standards and guest experience excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service Excellence
- Lead all aspects of restaurant operations, including service, culinary, people, and financial performance.
- Ensure the flawless execution of service standards, guest engagement, and brand positioning.
- Ensure all service and food quality standards are consistently met.
- Monitor daily performance and implement improvements where needed.
- Manage inventory, equipment, and resources effectively.
- Supervise scheduling, training, and POS system operations.
Financial Performance
- Drive top-line revenue while controlling costs, labor productivity, and maximizing profitability.
- Prepare and present regular operational and financial reports.
Guest Experience & Relationships
- Provide personalized service to VIP guests and regular patrons.
- Analyze guest feedback, operational KPIs, and financial metrics to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop department heads and team members to build a performance-driven culture.
- Coach, motivate, and evaluate team members on a regular basis throughout the calendar year.
Culinary & Menu Strategy
- Collaborate with culinary and bar leaders on menu development, promotions, and guest personalization.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, licensing, and hygiene regulations.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and guest confidentiality.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3β4 years' experience in a similar General Manager position in fine dining with an average of at least 50 covers per day.
- Experience with 2-star and 3β4 hat Gault Millau restaurants preferred.
- Secondary school diploma or above; bachelor's degree in hospitality management an advantage.
- WSET 2 certification an advantage.
- International experience in trendsetting places such as Tokyo, London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, and Shanghai a great advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent product knowledge of fine dining cuisine specific to the type of restaurant and budgeting.
- Proficient in MS Office and POS software.
- Excellent leadership, management, and supervisory abilities.
- Passion and knowledge for service, food, and wine; Sommelier certification an advantage.
- Customer service orientated.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
