Role Overview
Vice President β Private Equity Fund Administration at The Apex Group, based in Bahrain. This is a permanent, full-time position within the Fund Administration department.

Role Purpose
Coordinate and manage all administration functions for a specific group of Private Equity fund clients. Execute proactive and independent client service delivery, ensuring all fund administration services meet high standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Client Reporting & Accounting
- Manage production of client quarterly and annual reporting and related accounting activities.
- Perform reviews of client quarterly and annual reporting and related accounting activities.
- Ensure reporting deliverables are produced and reviewed to a high standard and delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure reporting deliverables are produced in line with appropriate accounting standards, fund documentation, local regulations, policies and procedures.
- Review annual financial statements.
Audit & Regulatory Oversight
- Oversee clients' audit process.
- Perform investor AML-related risk assessments and due diligence checks.
- Perform periodic review of investor AML/KYC files.
- Review FATCA/CRS returns and oversee filing process.
- Ensure regulatory and tax filings are completed on time.
- Ensure all work undertaken complies with client documentation, relevant regulatory requirements and anti-money laundering regulations.
Fund Operations
- Calculation and processing of fund capital calls and distributions.
- Manage the set-up process of the accounting functions for new funds.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Review and recommend changes to client deliverable processes.
- Review, recommend and implement agreed changes to accounting procedures.
- Keep up to date with changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Follow Company procedure at all times.
- Act in accordance with the Apex Code of Conduct.
- Deliver the Apex Client Charter.
Stakeholder Management
- Build excellent working relationships with clients.
- Address client and investor queries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Provide cover to team members if required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Five to eight years of relevant experience in a similar role incorporating fund administration functions.
- Knowledge of Private Equity fund structures and the fund administration industry.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements of Private Equity funds.
- Professional degree in accounting or finance.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of e-Front and/or Yardi Voyager preferred.
- Quick to grasp and implement knowledge.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.
- Proactive team player with a positive attitude towards problem resolution.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and manage projects.
