Fruits & Vegetables Team Leader at Majid Al Futtaim, Hypermarket Oman. The role is responsible for implementing quality, range, and freshness standards to facilitate an exceptional customer experience and achieve set sales targets.

Role Purpose
Lead the fruits and vegetables section to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain quality and freshness standards, achieve sales targets, and develop team members to work optimally while addressing problems immediately to protect customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Inventory Management
- Manage daily operations of the fruits and vegetables section, ensuring freshness, quality, and product availability.
- Control inventory levels, stock replenishment, and delivery schedules to minimize out-of-stock situations.
- Monitor product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities to enhance sales performance.
- Reduce waste and shrinkage through effective stock rotation, handling procedures, and quality checks.
- Identify slow-moving items and implement promotional actions to maximize sell-through before spoilage.
Merchandising & Standards
- Ensure merchandising standards, planograms, and pricing accuracy are consistently maintained.
- Enforce health, safety, hygiene, and food handling standards while maintaining a clean department.
Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop the team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve operational and sales objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a fruits and vegetables department or retail supermarket environment.
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce quality standards, stock rotation, and freshness management.
- Experience in inventory control, waste reduction, and merchandising best practices.
