Freelance - Notion Expert / Systems Builder (Freelance)

Role Overview

Freelance Notion Expert / Systems Builder with Whiteshield. This is a freelance position available immediately, initially for 3 months with potential for ongoing collaboration.

Role Purpose

Partner with the Whiteshield team to continuously design, build, and improve internal Notion workspaces as requirements evolve, moving beyond one-off deliverables to create scalable, user-centered operating systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Build

• Design and build scalable Notion workspaces tailored to evolving team needs.
• Create databases, dashboards and documentation systems.
• Build templates and internal operating systems.

Workflow & Optimization

• Develop custom workflows and automations.
• Improve user experience and workspace structure.
• Support ad hoc enhancements as new requirements arise.

Advisory & Recommendations

• Advise on best practice and recommend improvements.
• Bring proactive recommendations rather than simply following instructions.
• Turn ideas into practical solutions through strong communication.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hands-on experience building advanced Notion workspaces.
• Portfolio of previous Notion projects.
• Experience with complex databases, relations, rollups and formulas.
• Knowledge of Notion AI and integrations is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and improvement.
• Ability to translate ideas into practical solutions.
