Fitness Instructor at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Role Purpose
Contribute to operating the Recreation Centre in a professional and business-oriented manner in accordance with Anantara aims and objectives, while achieving all targets and performance indicators set. Deliver fitness instruction and wellness programming that drives revenue and ensures guest satisfaction through personalized service and safe, high-quality activities.
Key Responsibilities
Fitness Programming & Instruction
- Perform Personal Training sessions to guests and members.
- Provide daily Fitness and Sports group classes free of charge and chargeable to guests and members, including HIIT, Stretching, boot camp, and Boxing classes.
- Deliver personalized exercise plans to guests.
- Offer guests assistance when they are not performing an exercise correctly.
- Develop safe and effective fitness programs for individuals and groups.
Wellness Events & Activities
- Organize Fitness and Wellness events on the Monthly Activities schedule and special events such as the Full Moon.
- Monitor the success of activity programs through the number of participants per scheduled event and through guests' feedback.
- Provide feedback to Management on program performance.
- Circulate clear information to guests of the events offered by the hotel.
Safety & Facility Management
- Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations of the recreation center.
- Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.
- Ensure the Fitness Center is always clean, including all machines and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize machines on the absence of the Recreation Attendant.
Customer Service & Operations
- Deliver the highest level of customer service at all times.
- Assist all recreation areas if needed.
- Develop and maintain a strong working environment with other departments.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting or charging fees for Sports & Recreation.
- Drive revenues for the department.
- Be prepared to assume other Sports & Recreation duties or responsibilities as requested by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognized fitness instructor certification.
- Knowledge of exercise techniques, strength training, cardiovascular fitness, and injury prevention.
- Ability to develop safe and effective fitness programs for individuals and groups.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Physically fit and able to demonstrate exercises correctly.
- Good customer service skills and a professional appearance.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining client records and scheduling.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
