Finance Manager

Role Overview

Finance Manager at Burjline Builders. The Finance Manager reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and oversees all financial activities of the company, ensures compliance with financial regulations, and provides strategic financial guidance to support organizational growth and success.

Role Purpose

Oversee consolidated financial reporting, treasury operations, insurance management, and supervision of finance staff. Deliver accurate, timely financial statements and analysis to support executive decision-making and regulatory compliance across group entities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Assist the Manager Accounts in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare BOD meeting presentations and cost-of-capital reports.
• Deliver monthly entity financial statements by the 4th of each month.
• Deliver final consolidated reporting by the 6th of each month in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support the GCFO's decision-making.

Consolidation & Intercompany Management

• Oversee and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions across group entities.
• Prepare the annual consolidated budget.

Audit & Compliance

• Manage internal and external audit processes, including drafting audited financial statements.
• Oversee fixed asset registers, accrual entries, VAT return support, and bank reconciliations due by the 2nd working day of the month.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Assist with cash flow forecasting, routine banking transactions, and information requests from financial institutions.
• Maintain schedules of bank facilities and prepare comparative analyses for facility renewals.
• Draft reports for bank meetings.

Foreign Exchange Management

• Track foreign exchange deals and monitor maturity dates.
• Monitor FX movements to support the GCFO in currency bookings.

Insurance Management

• Gather insurance coverage requirements across group divisions.
• Review policy terms for gaps or changes.
• Source, evaluate, and compare insurer quotations, premiums, exclusions, and coverage limits.
• Prepare comparative documentation to support management and Board insurance approvals.

Team Leadership & Operations

• Supervise Financial Analysts and Accountants to ensure accurate ERP entries.
• Oversee payroll control reconciliations and timely supplier and employee payments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CFA.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance management role.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
