Role Purpose

The Finance Manager (Financial Controller) serves as a strategic finance business partner to Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams, driving profitability and operational efficiency through P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights that support data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

P&L and Financial Ownership

• Own and manage the operational P&L across stores, regions, and channels, ensuring profitability targets are achieved.
• Deliver financial performance reports, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards to support timely business decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning

• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and flash reporting processes using driver-based assumptions aligned with operational plans.

Margin and Cost Analysis

• Analyze gross margin, sales mix, and markdown performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
• Monitor and control operating costs, including labor, logistics, utilities, maintenance, and other controllable expenses, driving cost-efficiency initiatives.

Business Partnership and Insights

• Partner with Store Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to provide financial insights and support strategic business decisions.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with operational leaders, translating financial data into actionable business insights and influencing performance improvement initiatives.

Cost and Profit Improvement

• Identify, quantify, and track cost-saving and profit improvement opportunities while supporting operational owners in implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a financial controller in retail.
• Experience in FMCG retail is required.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and P&L management.
