Field Specialist

Role Overview

Field Specialist - Drilling Services (Directional Drilling) at Baker Hughes. This is an on-site field role working across regional locations with customer operations.

Role Purpose

Provide resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors. Develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Logging while Drilling and Directional Drilling services at the well site.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Portfolio Management

• Report on Drilling Services portfolio activities.

Technical Knowledge & Well Construction

• Demonstrate knowledge over wellbore placement.
• Demonstrate knowledge over collision avoidance practices and their relation with Directional Drilling activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge over hydraulics and torque & drag simulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of activities and technologies related to well construction, including Hydraulic Expandable Reamers and Circulation Sub.

Directional Drilling Operations

• Develop proficiency required for the delivery of Directional Drilling services at the well site.
• Supervise good practices for BHA handling and making up.

Development & Improvement

• Complete advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
• Communicate and facilitate continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the field as Directional Drilling.
• Eligible to work without visa sponsorship.

Skills & Competencies

• Good communicator and fluent in English.
• Good team player and strong communication skills.
