Field Specialist - Drilling Services (MWD/ DD)

Role Overview

Field Specialist - Drilling Services (MWD/DD) at Baker Hughes. This is an on-site role working with customers in locations across the region.

Role Purpose

Provide resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Logging while Drilling and Directional Drilling services at the well site.

Key Responsibilities

Drilling Services & Reporting

• Report on Drilling Services portfolio activities.

Technical Expertise & Well Site Operations

• Demonstrate knowledge over wellbore placement.
• Demonstrate knowledge over collision avoidance practices and their relation with DD and MWD activities.
• Develop proficiency required for the delivery of directional drilling services at the well site.
• Demonstrate knowledge over hydraulics and torque and drag simulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of activities and technologies related to well construction, including hydraulic expandable reamers and circulation sub.
• Supervise good practices for BHA handling and making up.

Training & Continuous Improvement

• Complete advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
• Communicate and facilitate continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of field experience as Directional Drilling (DD) or MWD.
• Eligible to work without visa sponsorship.
