Role Overview

Field Service Engineer position at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher company, located in Riyadh. The Field Service Engineer provides outstanding customer service while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.

Role Purpose

The Field Service Engineer serves as frontline technical support, resolving customer problems through expertise and troubleshooting while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation. The role drives service revenue and customer retention while ensuring strong warranty conversion and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, Maintenance & Repair

  • Serve as lead to assigned customers and complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
  • Repair, maintain, and install product lines.
  • Complete on-time and accurate preventative maintenance and field modification instruction as needed.
  • Assist and train less experienced Field Engineers.

Customer Service & Support

  • Provide excellent and efficient customer service to Beckman Coulter customers and deliver technical training on products.
  • Focus on customer needs and satisfaction while building and enhancing relationships with customers to become a perceived partner in their business.
  • Instill customer satisfaction that is recognizable and valuable to the customer.

Operations & Documentation

  • Travel throughout the district territory to service instrumentation across all application areas.
  • Document and report all repairs and product failures.
  • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Order repair parts and manage cycle times.
  • Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities.

Process Improvement

  • Help develop preventative maintenance procedures.

Compliance

  • Stay compliant with the company's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing biomedical and laboratory electronic equipment.
  • Experience working with both internal teams and external customers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking to resolve issues within defined procedures and practices.
