Field Service Engineer at Alfa Laval, located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The Alfa Laval Field Service Operations Department in Jubail, Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join the team.

Role Purpose

To deliver high-quality field service support for Alfa Laval equipment while contributing to the continued growth and success of operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical expertise, maintenance, and customer support across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain Safety 1st Behavioral Attitude using Stop-Think-Act protocol.
  • Adhere to all company safety (QHSE) policies, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Report Near Miss using the HSE digital platform (MEA Aleart).

Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance

  • Perform installation, commissioning, inspection, repair activities, audits, fault finding, repairs and maintenance of products such as high-speed separators (HSS), decanters used in various process industries, and plate heat exchangers.
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services.
  • Execute audits and maintenance activities related to Service Agreements.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot Electrical/PLC controls (EPC controls, 2 touch, basic and Plus controls).
  • Develop solutions and technical recommendations for customer challenges.
  • Train customer crew on Alfa Laval equipment operation and maintenance.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare service reports, ensuring documentation of every visit and minute all observations, recommendations and commitments with the customer.
  • Submit service reports, expense reports and payroll on a timely basis.
  • Obtain and retain customer-signed timesheet service reports.

Business Development & Systems

  • Generate service business leads by effective use of the FSE Lead app.
  • Effectively use AL system tools (OneService, Lead app, HSE Near miss app (MEA Aleart), E-Learning portal, Workday, Sensei IB).
  • Support Sales functions in technical solutions and participate in technical forums.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering background in Electrical, Automation, or Mechanical with hands-on experience; Electrical background preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years field service experience in Electrical/Mechanical equipment, heat exchangers, decanters, high-speed separators and associated equipment.
  • Process control instrumentation knowledge, understanding of software programmed systems and industrial networking experience will be an advantage.
  • Field service experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC; preference will be given.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with the ability to express verbal and written ideas effectively to all levels of people.
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships with colleagues and maintains a strong customer focus.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented with the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Self-reliant, resilient, and capable of performing effectively under pressure, including responding to assignments with short notice.
  • Adaptable, independent, and robust with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment involving extensive travel and close collaboration with a dynamic regional team.
  • Role model in open and transparent communication, actively sharing knowledge with peers and demonstrating a continuous learning mindset.

Additional Information

  • Valid driving license required; preference given to candidates holding a Saudi Arabian or GCC driving license.
  • Flexible and willing to undertake long-term national and international assignments, as well as work overtime when required.
  • Position based in Alfa Laval Office Saudi Arabia, Jubail.
