Role Overview
Field Engineer - Coiled Tubing with Baker Hughes. This is a field-based role within the Pressure Pumping Team, responsible for operating and managing coiled tubing equipment and well intervention operations.

Role Purpose
As a Field Engineer, you will operate coiled tubing units and associated equipment to execute well intervention operations safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will monitor real-time operational parameters, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate with customers and crew, and mentor junior personnel while maintaining production schedules and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Equipment Management
- Operate and monitor coiled tubing units, injector heads, reels, and control systems.
- Monitor real-time parameters including tubing, depth, weight, pump rates, and well pressure.
- Perform pre-job inspections and function tests on all equipment.
- Execute pressure testing of equipment.
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of coiled tubing systems.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Conduct risk assessments for all operations.
- Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes and customer HSE requirements.
- Maintain strong knowledge of HSE procedures and risk management practices.
Reporting & Documentation
- Record operational data accurately.
- Prepare job reports for customers.
Coordination & Leadership
- Coordinate with customers, rig crew, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Mentor operators and junior personnel.
- Maintain high operational standards across the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coiled tubing operations and oilfield services.
- Strong knowledge of coiled tubing equipment, pressure control equipment (BOPs, stripper, lubricator), Nitrogen pumping, and well intervention operations.
