Role Purpose

The F&B Attendant supports busy pool and beach bar operations, preparing and serving beverages, taking orders, engaging with guests, and maintaining bar standards to ensure refreshing drinks, great food, and effortless service throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Bar Operations & Setup

• Support the daily bar operation, including opening and closing duties, bar set-up and preparation for service.
• Keep the bar fully stocked with beverages, glassware, garnishes, ice and other supplies throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic bar, service station and surrounding pool and beach areas.

Beverage Preparation & Service

• Prepare and serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including basic cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, juices and other refreshments in line with established standards.
• Support poolside and beachfront food and beverage service whenever required.

Guest Engagement & Orders

• Take food and beverage orders, make recommendations and ensure orders are served accurately and efficiently.
• Engage naturally with guests, understand their preferences and recommend drinks and menu items.
• Handle guest bills, payments and transactions accurately when required.

Inventory & Compliance

• Check stock levels and inform your supervisor of low supplies, breakages or equipment concerns.
• Follow responsible alcohol service, food safety, hygiene and health and safety requirements at all times.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with bartenders, kitchen colleagues and the wider F&B team to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous F&B or bar service experience, preferably within a hotel, resort, beach club, pool bar or similar environment.
• Good knowledge of basic bar operations, beverage service, glassware and bar set-up.
• Basic knowledge of cocktails, mocktails and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Compliance with local requirements for food handling and serving alcohol.
• A good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths.

Skills & Competencies

• Confidence engaging with guests and recommending drinks and food based on their preferences.
• Great communication skills with a warm, welcoming personality and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experience.
• Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and in hot and humid weather conditions, while maintaining energy, presentation and service standards.
• The strength to lift, push and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg), which may also involve bending and kneeling.
