Role Purpose
Ensure that Waad Academy's physical infrastructure remains well-maintained and contributes to a safe, positive, and conducive educational atmosphere for both students and staff. The Facility Engineer will play a vital role in managing daily operations, coordinating with external vendors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance and general upkeep of the school's facilities.
- Manage daily operations of the facility.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and compliance standards for public spaces.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with external vendors.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial), Business Administration, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in high-volume environments such as schools, hospitals, or malls is essential.
- Familiarity with operational challenges in educational or public institutions.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
