Role Purpose

The Expeditor is responsible for expediting and coordinating the procurement and timely delivery of goods and services to meet company requirements, operational needs, and purchase order terms and conditions. The role oversees the procurement process from PO release to PO readiness and coordinates logistics activities through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Expediting

• Expedite Purchase Orders to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials supporting company operations.
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers to monitor order progress, shipment readiness, and on-time delivery.
• Identify potential delays, implement recovery plans, and escalate issues in accordance with company procedures.
• Provide timely progress updates and maintain accurate, real-time ERP/SAP records for all PO and shipment milestones.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact between suppliers, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Engineering, Finance, and End Users.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery and documentation issues, and support supplier evaluations.

Logistics & Freight Coordination

• Coordinate transportation planning and freight movements by air, sea, and land where applicable.
• Work with freight forwarders and internal logistics teams to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
• Coordinate warehouse receiving activities and manage shipment exceptions and regulatory compliance obligations.

Service Delivery & Compliance

• Deliver expediting services to support global suppliers, operational outages, emergencies, and business-critical requirements.
• Maintain adequate resource planning, including shift coverage, leave replacement, and business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, security, warehouse, Health & Safety, and all applicable statutory and contractual requirements.
• Support additional operational assignments as directed.
• Ensure timely submission of documents and facilitate resolution of payment, contractual, and material-related issues.
• Prepare supplier performance reports and management updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
• Previous experience in procurement expediting, supply chain, or logistics, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, energy, or infrastructure environments in the UAE.

Skills & Competencies
