Role Overview

General Physician in the Emergency Room at Nahdi.

Role Purpose

Diagnose and treat minor cases of illnesses. Examine patients, take medical histories, prescribe medications, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare, and refer cases requiring further investigation to appropriate specialties. Provide video consultations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment and Documentation

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Examine patients and take medical histories.
• Order and review results of patients' investigations.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.

Care Planning and Patient Education

• Design and execute the patient's plan of care.
• Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options, and medication use.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare related to their individual cases.

Treatment and Prescribing

• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Administer vaccinations if applicable.

Referral and Specialist Coordination

• Refer cases requiring further investigation to clinic specialties when applicable.

Additional Clinical Duties

• Perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.
• Provide video consultations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine from recognized universities or SCHS license.
• 1 year of clinical experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Office and Health Information Systems.
• English fluency (speaking and writing).
• Arabic fluency (speaking and writing).

Additional Information

• Work Environment: 100% indoors.
• Working Days: 6 days per week.
• Days Off: 1 day per week.
• Working Hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
• The employee's duties are not limited to the accountabilities listed above; the manager may assign other duties based on business need.
