Role Overview
Engineer - Fleet Management at Baker Hughes. This position is based in Saudi Arabia and supports the regional product service engineering team.
Company Overview
Baker Hughes' Regional Product Service Engineering team supports the current operation and maintenance of heavy-duty gas turbines, aero turbines, centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and their control systems, protection and accessory systems.
Role Purpose
As a Product Service Engineer for Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, you will uphold Baker Hughes' product integrity by proactively identifying customer issues, investigating technical anomalies, providing technical assessments at component and systems levels, and communicating technical solutions to customers. You will be responsible for providing timely technical solutions for heavy-duty gas turbines and associated auxiliaries.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Issue Resolution
- Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, and procedures.
- Escalate issues as required and act as the liaison between field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution.
- Help engineering identify and drive corrective actions.
Customer Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers to ensure technical issues and requirements are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
Root Cause Analysis & Leadership
- Lead and program manage root cause analysis and investigation activities for product technical issues.
- Interface with Product Service, System, and Design Engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting projects assigned to resolve customer technical issues.
Communication & Presentations
- Prepare technical presentations for Baker Hughes leaders and customers ensuring timely communication of significant issues or developments.
Field Support & Travel
- Travel to customer locations to support customer technical review meetings and present recommendations to champion Baker Hughes' technical solutions.
- Support unplanned and forced outages to meet reliability and availability goals.
- Provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposal activities.
Planned Outage Management
- Plan and provide technical engineering oversight to the Contractual Services and Field Services teams during planned outages to meet reliability and availability goals.
Program Implementation
- Partner with Design Engineering teams and interface with external and internal suppliers to facilitate the logistical implementation of Fleet Program technical solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electronics, control and instrumentation, or electrical and electronics) or equivalent.
- 2β5 years' experience in design engineering or operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy-duty gas turbines and associated auxiliaries.
- Work authorization in Saudi Arabia without company sponsorship or legal restriction.

- Fluency in English; Arabic fluency is a preferred consideration.
