Role Purpose
To provide telecom services to consumer and enterprise customers by maintaining electromechanical and civil infrastructure of the EITC mobile network across all UAE regions, focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes within the telecommunications industry.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Management & Operations
- Lead and manage the Facilities Management service provider to deliver facilities engineering and management activities, functional operations of facilities and maintenance services.
- Deliver corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, capital projects, plan operations, subcontract management, project management assistance, and spares and consumables management.
- Assume full responsibility for the Managed Services organization in Circle.
- Deliver contracted services in designated geographical areas or circles and maintain contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Manage all Facilities Contracts and contractors, maintaining review processes for contracts including Electromechanical systems, UPS, DC systems, site security, waste management, cleaning, sprinkler systems, alarm systems, CCTV, PAT, Vibration analysis, Environmental monitoring, pest control, Cleanroom balancing, requalification, equipment testing, HVAC, Electricity, and Gas.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and manage a team of automation engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality work, productivity, and professional development.
Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define automation strategies, identify areas for automation, and prioritize projects based on business impact and feasibility.
- Research building systems and make recommendations to the line manager for energy improvements, modernization, equipment replacement, or upgrades.
- Help develop budgets and plans and assist operations personnel in reviewing existing facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization through automation by analyzing existing workflows and recommending automation solutions to increase productivity and reduce errors.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between line manager and FLM partners and building management, communicating all information regarding Operations and Maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, IT, and project management, to understand business requirements, develop automation strategies aligned with organizational goals, and ensure successful implementation of automation projects.
Safety, Compliance & Technical Support
- Provide technical input to a Management of Change process and develop process safety information.
- Supervise planned and breakdown electrical maintenance work carried out by electricians and contractors personnel on installations as required.
- Ensure repair and maintenance of equipment is performed according to company specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Ensure availability of adequate supplies of stores and spare parts required for maintenance and repair work and initiate necessary materials requisitions for stock replenishment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an engineering role in the Telecom industry.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical works execution and implementation for infrastructure supporting telecommunications networks.
- Good knowledge of regulations and requirements of the No Objection Certification processes in UAE regions.
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems and other civil works related systems.
- Knowledge of site surveying instruments using GPS technology.
- Knowledge of active telecommunications networks and the EM Part supporting the works.
Skills & Competencies
- English language skills: conversation, reading, and writing.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication.
- Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical works elements, standards, and specifications for telecommunications networks.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks while being analytical, self-motivated, and quality-focused.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team to achieve tangible results and required targets.
- Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- GIS system and Network Engineer application.
- Project Management, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of Office tools: MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Office, and Excel.
