Role Overview
Engineer Access, Transport Onboarding & Acceptance at Du, based in the United Arab Emirates.
Role Purpose
Support the planning, execution, and governance of evaluation and onboarding activities for all new network infrastructure. Ensure compliance, manage risks, maintain service standards, and coordinate security assessments across Service Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Execution
- Support planning and execution of evaluation and boarding activities of all new network according to the Yearly Plan.
- Ensure proper evaluation of all new network by participating in RFP process, Design, Development, and lab testing.
- Define, ensure effectiveness and efficiency, maintain and update all processes related to the evaluation and boarding of all new network to minimize the risks of outages and post-boarding costs overrun.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Keep Network Operations up to date with regular progress reports.
- Proactively involve in negotiation with key partners when needed.
- Coordinate and support Security Risk Assessments and associated Risk Management review for entire Service Operations team.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory, statutory, and in-company governance requirements.
- Define standards of service and SLAs for the unit in line with business objectives.
- Responsible for compliance of software upgrade and patching process for all network nodes and systems.
- Support administratively and functionally in ad-hoc and regular organizational audits and other projects to improve people, processes, and systems within the company.
Security & Risk Management
- Serve as Domain Risk Advisor for Service Operations in coordination with security teams.
- Evaluate Vulnerability Assessment scan reports and coordinate with planning team to mitigate vulnerabilities related to telecom and IT systems.
- Serve as Service Operations SPOC for Internal Control Observations raised by internal audit teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, IT, or equivalent telecom qualification.
- Minimum 10β15 years of experience in telecommunications or hi-tech industry.
- ISO/TL9000 Framework knowledge.
- ITIL Framework knowledge.
