Role Overview
Employee Engagement Senior Specialist at ADIB, Abu Dhabi.
Role Purpose
The Employee Engagement Senior Specialist shapes and delivers the organization's well-being strategy, working alongside operational managers to create a healthy, supportive workplace. This position combines analytic capabilities and hands-on expertise to ensure that well-being initiatives are both effective and aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Charity Administration
- Oversee gathering of employee data and build case summaries to analyze charity-related documents for validity, completeness, and compliance.
- Screen all institutions approaching the charity committee for charitable support, validating AML and sanctions compliance and confirming profit and non-profit status.
- Gather and validate information on institution board members.
- Short-list ready requests with proper bookkeeping for submission to the charity committee.
- Raise concerns regarding any data manipulation.
- Oversee charity account transactions and ensure all information is updated and registered properly to execute payments in accordance with financial control policies and procedures.
Staff Draws and Raffles
- Prepare memoranda or emails for required approvals to initiate new draws.
- Define eligibility criteria clearly and control data extraction and preparation.
- Oversee draw setup and execution.
- Announce winners.
- Oversee distribution of gifts and rewards.
Umra Trip Program
- Obtain all related approvals in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Oversee vendor sourcing process.
- Send announcements to staff.
- Oversee and control data preparation according to eligibility criteria.
- Oversee conducting the draw.
- Communicate with staff to ensure seats are filled properly and execute with backup arrangements.
- Prepare final list of confirmed staff with booking confirmations.
- Oversee all arrangements related to trip bookings confirmation, assembly point communication, and visa requirement completion.
- Conduct staff satisfaction report.
Turnover Analysis and Reporting
- Review turnover data summaries and employee experience survey results at the beginning of each quarter.
- Oversee reflection of results in quarterly turnover analysis reports.
- Review turnover and employee experience report summaries with required actions on a quarterly basis.
- Contact employees for feedback as required.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis to enhance retention and employee experience.
Well-being Initiatives and Campaigns
- Implement, oversee, and evaluate well-being programs and initiatives addressing mental, physical, and emotional health needs across the organization.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices, policy development, and legislation related to employee well-being.
- Implement well-being campaigns, workshops, and support training programs to foster engagement and raise awareness.
- Ensure diversity, inclusion, and health and safety are integrated into all well-being initiatives.
- Work across all departments and at all levels to ensure logistics, administration requirements, and key messages align with strategy.
- Collect and analyze well-being data and produce reports for review and enhancement.
- Coach and mentor on health and well-being, acting as ambassadors across the organization to build networks of peer support.
- Assist in crisis management situations, providing rapid response and compassionate support to affected staff.
- Develop and maintain strong communications with key groups to maximize employee engagement.
- Execute regular employee health assessments including height, weight, body fat percentage, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and other health risk factors.
- Organize internal events including family activities, national day celebrations, and Emirati women's day, ensuring linkage to staff well-being.
- Communicate with national and international entities with high interest in staff matters, such as travel agencies, real estate companies, and healthcare providers, to negotiate benefits and discounts.
Staff Competitions
- Develop creative engagement campaigns and reward programs that enhance staff morale and participation.
- Oversee running of staff competitions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record of working at a senior level in business, developing and driving employee engagement strategies in a fast-moving organization.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in health and well-being related work within a complex organizational context, or 6 years in a business field involving customer experience and satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Employee Engagement, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Banking, or other relevant fields.

- Effective communication with employees, executives, and wellness professionals to discuss health initiatives, programs, and the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles.
- Strong leadership skills to oversee well-being programs and create and implement new programs.
- Marketing skills to promote wellness initiatives and encourage employee participation.
- Project planning skills to drive wellness programs and initiatives successfully, including identifying workplace needs, evaluating programs, creating goals, and tracking progress.
- Ability to create plans that encourage employees to make positive changes and support them in developing good habits and practices that encourage physical activity, healthy eating, and stress management.
- Data analytical capability to analyze data and use evidence to drive improvements in well-being strategy.
- Resilience, empathy, and discretion when supporting sensitive cases.
- Knowledge of sustainability-related projects and understanding of human resources sustainability.
