Electronic Equipment Calibrations Technician- Saudi Arabia

Role Overview

Electronic Equipment Calibrations Technician at RTX, located in El Paso, Texas (US-TX-EL PASO-M2, 7201 Montana Ave, BLDG M2). This is an onsite position.

Role Purpose

Provide calibration and repair capability in support of all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment covered under the currently approved TAA, while developing new procedures, training personnel, and delivering precision calibration of state-of-the-art electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Calibration and Repair

• Calibrate and repair all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment supported by the calibration laboratory that are covered under the currently approved TAA.
• Perform precision calibration of state-of-the-art electronic equipment as required.
• Develop test jigs, fixtures and special test setups for calibration of newly acquired or special purpose equipment when required.
• Help develop new procedures and methods of performing calibration on new equipment utilizing the numerous standards available in the calibration facility.

Training and Technical Support

• Provide training to laboratory and site personnel on new equipment as required.
• Provide on-the-job training (OJT) for technicians in electronic theory, the use of electronic standards and their application to equipment calibration.
• Make site visits for training, evaluation and technical assistance as needed.

Safety and Administration

• Assist the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other related duties as required or directed by the section officer.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years' experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in calibration of electronic equipment.
• Strong background in digital electronics and RF/Microwave.
• Deep understanding of the principles and concepts related to measurement, calibration, and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with various types of measuring equipment and understanding of their operation, maintenance, and calibration requirements (preferred).
• Strong foundation in mathematics to perform calculations and interpret numerical data (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• Meticulous attention to detail; minor discrepancies in measurements can have significant consequences.
• Ability to carefully follow established procedures, document work, and ensure all measurements are accurate and reliable.
• Proficiency in using computers and various software applications related to calibration work.

Additional Information

Security Clearance

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• DoD Clearance: Secret level.
• Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

Work Arrangement

• Onsite role; employees work primarily onsite as they are essential to the development of products.
• Candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of RTX's office locations, regardless of role designation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $86,800 USD to $165,200 USD, based on experience, education, location, role, function, responsibilities, and key skills.
