Role Purpose

Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Assist in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, performing all tests with minimal instruction.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly and Disassembly

• Review procedures for assembly, disassembly, and test verification accuracy.
• Configure test stations and systems.

Testing and Analysis

• Analyze and interpret data from environmental tests and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Test and evaluate the performance of general purpose test equipment, repairing as required.
• Assist in the set-up of experiments and record experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.

Leadership and Compliance

• Provide leadership and coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Work in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-year technical diploma or associate degree in electrical or mechanical field, or higher.
• 2-7 years of related experience in electro-mechanical function.

Skills & Competencies

• High level of knowledge in the maintenance of electronics.
• Advanced skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Proficiency in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
• Proficiency in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
• Strong written and oral English skills.
