Role Purpose

The Electrician maintains all electrical systems, equipment and infrastructure across guest rooms, public areas and employee housing to ensure safe, reliable operation and exceptional guest experiences. The role responds to maintenance needs, troubleshoots electrical faults, performs repairs and installations, and supports major maintenance operations as part of the Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Guest & Department Response

• Respond to all guest complaints regarding maintenance of their room or public area in a timely manner.
• Respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.

Maintenance & Operations

• Clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
• Assist in installing or relocating any additional or existing equipment when necessary.
• Assist shift engineers on major shut downs for repairs.

Tools & Technical Work

• Use electrical and hand tools including wire strippers and voltmeter.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain logs for all work performed while on duty within department and those in other departments as they apply to Engineering Repairs.
• Report any damages observed within the Resort area—whether in guestrooms, public areas or employee housing units—through Engineering reporting systems within one hour of discovery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience as an Electrician in a luxury, fast-paced environment.
• Diploma or degree in relevant field is a plus.
