Electrician

Role Overview

Electrician at Apparel Group. This position executes electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities across commercial and retail facilities.

Role Purpose

Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards while delivering high-quality electrical service to support uninterrupted operations across the company's facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Maintenance

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, switchgear, and emergency backup systems.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, load calculations, and wiring diagrams to execute installations accurately.
• Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned tasks within defined timelines and quality standards.

Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose electrical faults, conduct detailed inspections, and troubleshoot issues in wiring, circuits, outlets, and fixtures.

Supervision & Guidance

• Supervise and guide assistant electricians during on-site work, ensuring proper techniques and compliance.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain accurate logs of electrical work carried out, materials used, and follow-up recommendations.
• Coordinate with HVAC, AV, carpentry, and maintenance teams to support cross-functional technical delivery.
• Recommend material specifications and support procurement of required electrical components and consumables.

Emergency Response & Safety

• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and unplanned outages, minimizing operational disruption.
• Maintain electrical tools, testing equipment, and ensure compliance with PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI certification or Diploma in Electrical or related trade.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in assisting with electrical installations and maintenance, preferably in retail or commercial settings.
• Basic knowledge of electrical tools, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience working with emergency lighting, switchboards, and power systems is preferred.
