Electrical Project Engineer at Vanderlande, Airports Business Unit, Project Delivery department. Location: Dubai, UAE.

Role Purpose
This role gives you the opportunity to work on interesting, international projects as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, with responsibility for the total electrical design of material handling systems from initial concept through to commissioning and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Lead the total electrical design, from power distribution through to bill of materials preparation for all required electrical components.
- Produce control diagrams using advanced network technologies such as Industrial Ethernet and AS-i bus.
- Provide design and drawing sets for the manufacturing of electrical enclosures.
- Develop the total cabling specification, from materials through to installation drawings and assembly instructions.
- Ensure detailed design is unambiguous and clearly explained to installers.
- Leverage full functionality of CAD systems (AutoCAD and EPLAN) to maximize technology depth.
Commissioning & Quality Assurance
- Develop checklists used for commissioning of the complete installation, from connection to testing of the last I/O.
Tooling & Process Improvement
- Develop tooling to enable optimal execution of engineering works.
Qualifications & Experience
- Vocational education (MTS/MBO-4) with relevant working experience, or Bachelor's degree (HTS/HBO) in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong experience in the Airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) domain with sound knowledge of machine lines and material handling systems.
- Experience in BHS, airport automation, logistics, or material handling systems is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with a background primarily in Oil & Gas will not be considered.
Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of electrical control panels, power distribution systems, and industrial communication networks such as PROFIBUS, Profinet, AS-i Bus, and Industrial Ethernet.
- Experience with CAD tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD.
- Methodical and detail-oriented approach to engineering and project execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Forward-thinking mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Good command of the English language.
