Role Overview

Echocardiographer at NMC Healthcare. The role delivers diagnostic cardiac imaging services in the non-invasive laboratory, supporting cardiologists and patients across all age groups.

Role Purpose

To perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations and treadmill stress tests while maintaining clinical competency, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to international standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

• Perform 2D echocardiography and treadmill stress testing (TMT) with demonstrated competency and proficiency in non-invasive laboratory equipment.
• Deliver patient care for all age groups using diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the cardiologist.

Operations & Administration

• Participate in ordering and inventory management of equipment and supplies for the non-invasive laboratory.
• Perform general office duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing, and maintaining patient records.

Compliance & Professional Development

• Follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International norms when treating and managing patients and discharging professional duties.
• Actively participate in the training of other personnel.
• Maintain current cardiology skills through continuing education, including attendance at department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from cardiologists, and related classes.
• Recognize that continuing education is vital to maintaining and advancing the profession.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Care Technology.
• Six months of internship in Cardiac Care Technology.
• Current license in country of origin with DHA license to practice in the United Arab Emirates.
• Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiac Technician.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command of oral and written English.
• Arabic language advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
• Competency and proficiency with echocardiography and TMT equipment.
