Role Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Document Controller to support the management of project documentation, information flow, and records control for major high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and large-scale building developments in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose
The successful candidate will ensure that all project documents are accurately controlled, tracked, distributed, and archived in accordance with project procedures, quality standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Document Management & Control
- Manage and maintain project document control systems in accordance with project and company procedures.
- Receive, register, distribute, track, and archive all incoming and outgoing project documents.
- Maintain document registers, transmittal logs, drawing registers, and correspondence trackers.
- Ensure all documents are properly classified, numbered, filed, and updated in accordance with project procedures.
- Track document revisions and maintain complete revision histories.
- Verify that only current approved documents are available for project use.
- Maintain records of superseded documents and ensure proper archiving.
Systems & Technology
- Manage document distribution through electronic document management systems (EDMS) and Common Data Environments (CDE).
Workflows & Approvals
- Monitor document review and approval workflows to ensure timely processing and responses.
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, contractors, consultants, and client representatives regarding document submissions and approvals.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Support QA/QC audits and ensure document control compliance with project quality management procedures.
- Assist in maintaining project filing structures and records management systems.
Reporting
- Generate periodic reports on document status, overdue submissions, approvals, and project documentation KPIs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of professional Document Control experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on high-rise and major building construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience supporting projects from design and construction through commissioning and handover.
- Experience working with consultants, PMCs, contractors, developers, or construction management teams.
- Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of document control procedures and records management principles.
- Familiarity with document review and approval workflows.
- Understanding of construction terminology and engineering documentation.
Additional Information
Certifications
- Certification in Document Control, Records Management, or Information Management is preferred.
- Training in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is advantageous.
- Certification in ISO 19650 Information Management or BIM Information Management is desirable.
