Role Overview
Director of Student Success Center at University of Kalba. This senior leadership position provides strategic and operational direction for the Center's programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing student success, well-being, academic progression, retention, and graduation.
Role Purpose
Develop and lead an integrated student support framework covering academic and career guidance, early intervention, student engagement, and success initiatives in collaboration with colleges, departments, and relevant University units to drive student retention, progression, and graduation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and implement the Center's strategy and programs in alignment with the University of Kalba strategic plan.
- Lead and manage the operations of the Student Success Center and ensure achievement of its strategic and operational objectives.
- Develop initiatives that enhance student retention, academic progression, achievement, and timely graduation.
- Develop policies and procedures related to student success services in coordination with relevant University units.
Early Intervention & Academic Support
- Establish and oversee an early-alert and intervention system to identify students at academic risk and develop appropriate support plans.
- Oversee academic advising and student guidance services and ensure appropriate support for students with diverse academic needs.
- Utilize student and academic data to assess student needs and identify students at risk of academic difficulty or withdrawal.
Student Engagement & Integration
- Develop initiatives that promote student engagement, belonging, and participation in university life.
- Oversee orientation, transition, and student integration programs for new and continuing students.
Career Services & Partnerships
- Develop career-related support services and connect students with relevant training and career opportunities in coordination with the appropriate University units.
- Establish effective collaboration and partnerships with colleges, departments, centers, and relevant external organizations.
- Collaborate with colleges and faculty members to identify student needs and develop appropriate support solutions and programs.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Prepare regular reports, statistics, and analyses related to the Center's performance and student success indicators.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of student success programs and services.
- Monitor student satisfaction with the Center's services and recommend continuous improvements.
Operations & Resource Management
- Prepare and monitor the Center's operating budget and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Supervise Center staff, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and support professional development.
- Ensure confidentiality and appropriate handling of student information in accordance with University policies and applicable regulations.
University Engagement
- Participate in University committees, projects, and initiatives related to student success.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Academic Advising, Psychology, Management, or a related field.
- Doctoral degree preferred for senior leadership appointments.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in higher education, student affairs, academic advising, or student support services, including appropriate supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in student success, retention, early intervention, and student data analysis required.
