Role Overview
Director of Rooms at voco™ Riyadh, operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts. The hotel is located on King Fahad Road in Riyadh's business district, 30 minutes from King Khalid International Airport, opposite the Ministry of Interior.

Role Purpose
Lead and manage all Rooms Division operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive operational excellence, maximize room revenue, and maintain voco™ and IHG brand standards while developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Performance
- Lead and manage all Rooms Division operations, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day performance.
- Ensure compliance with voco™ and IHG brand standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Drive Front Office and Housekeeping performance, productivity, and service excellence.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety, and maintenance throughout guest rooms and public areas.
- Ensure effective room inventory management, including VIP rooms, out-of-order rooms, room readiness, and room allocation.
Guest Experience & Service Recovery
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and quality scores to develop action plans for continuous improvement.
- Handle guest concerns and service recovery professionally, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Revenue & Financial Management
- Maximize room revenue through effective coordination with Revenue Management and Commercial teams.
- Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, room availability, upselling, and other Rooms Division performance indicators.
- Manage departmental budgets, payroll, expenses, and productivity in line with financial objectives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop Rooms Division leaders and colleagues through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, and genuine care for guests and colleagues.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategic Engagement
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Revenue, F&B, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
- Participate actively in hotel leadership meetings, operational reviews, and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of Rooms Division experience.
- Proven experience in a senior management or Director-level role.
- Strong operational knowledge of Front Office and Housekeeping functions.
- Previous experience with an international hotel brand is highly preferred.
- Experience with IHG or voco™ standards and systems is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, room revenue, budgeting, forecasting, and Rooms Division KPIs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to improve room revenue and profitability.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams.
- Strong knowledge of guest experience, quality assurance, and service recovery.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural hotel environment.
