Director of Operations - Saudi Arabia AOC (GACA)

Role Overview

Director of Operations for Beond's Saudi Arabia Air Operator Certificate (GACA), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, required management position under GACAR Part 121.45, appointed by and reporting to the Accountable Executive.

Company Overview

Beond is the world's first premium leisure airline, operating an all-lie-flat Airbus fleet. The company is establishing new Air Operator Certificates in Bahrain (BCAA) and Saudi Arabia (GACA).

Role Purpose

To exercise operational control and accountability for the conduct of flight operations under the Saudi Arabia AOC, ensuring compliance with operations specifications, maintaining operational standards, and serving as the primary operational interface with GACA for approvals, audits and findings.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Operations Control

• Exercise operational control and accountability for the conduct of flight operations under the AOC.
• Own the operations manual and ensure operations-specifications compliance.
• Set operational standards for the airline.

Regulatory & Compliance Interface

• Serve as the operational interface with GACA for approvals, audits and findings.
• Maintain full understanding of the GACAR, operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual.
• Embed the Safety Management System (SMS) within operations.

Operational Oversight

• Oversee flight dispatch, flight-time limitations and flight-crew standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

• Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (GACAR 121.49(a)(1)).
• At least 3 years' supervisory or managerial experience within the last 6 years exercising operational control over Part 121-similar operations (GACAR 121.49(a)(2)).
• At least 3 years' experience within the past 6 years as Pilot-in-Command of a Part 121 aircraft (GACAR 121.49(a)(3)).
• Be acceptable to GACA based on experience, competence and knowledge (GACAR 121.45(e), (g)).

Desirable

• Airbus A320/A321 experience.
• Existing GACA regulatory relationships and new-AOC experience.
• Fluent English; Arabic advantageous.
