Role Purpose
The Director of Design & Technical Services supports the development, design, renovation, and technical delivery of Minor Hotels projects across the Middle East and Africa. The role ensures that all projects meet Minor Hotels' brand standards, operational requirements, quality expectations, budgets, and agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Management
- Manage the design and technical aspects of new hotel developments, renovations, and conversion projects.
- Review architectural, interior design, engineering, and technical plans.
- Conduct site inspections and provide practical technical recommendations.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with Minor Hotels' brand standards and operational requirements.
- Promote sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective design solutions.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with owners, developers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Support the selection and appointment of design consultants and technical specialists.
Project Oversight
- Monitor project progress, budgets, quality, risks, and timelines.
- Identify potential design or construction issues and recommend suitable solutions.
- Prepare regular project updates and reports for regional leadership.
Project Delivery Support
- Assist hotel teams during pre-opening, handover, and defect-resolution stages.
Regional Operations
- Support multiple projects across the MEA region and travel when required.
Additional Information
- Travel required across the Middle East and Africa region.
