The Middle East team delivers platforms, systems, and integrated effects from across Anduril's portfolio to regional customers, adapting and applying products to serve a variety of defense and commercial customers in the Middle East market. The Business Development team is responsible for identifying, shaping, capturing, and growing new opportunities and capabilities for the company. BD team members serve as the bridge between clients and the broader Anduril team, conveying client perspectives to other teams across the enterprise while also serving as the Anduril brand ambassador externally.

Role Purpose

This role has ownership and responsibility for shaping, capturing, and executing Business Development opportunities with International Partners in the Middle East. The Director will generate and capture opportunities to grow revenue in the region while representing all Business Lines across Anduril's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Opportunity Capture

  • Generate and capture opportunities in the Middle East based on deep understanding of the existing and prospective customer base.
  • Develop a deep understanding of current and planned programmatic and technical roadmaps.
  • Remain cognizant of the competitive landscape.
  • Manage continuous engagements with current and future clients.
  • Generate growth strategies and monitor buying cycles for opportunities.
  • Lead specific proposal and capture efforts.

Strategy & Capture Planning

  • Develop capture strategies and provide cohesive business plans and execution models.
  • Outline acquisition plans and create clear alignment to investment strategies.
  • Drive towards program of record execution.
  • Engage key stakeholders to shape requirements.
  • Identify and secure relevant funding.
  • Develop compelling win themes and supplier strategies for competitive captures.

Revenue & Account Growth

  • Partner with execution teams and product engineers to grow business with current clients.
  • Leverage existing partnerships to explore new areas of work or opportunities.
  • Sustain and build upon the strong foundation of client relationships.
  • Represent all Business Lines across Anduril's portfolio.

Market Engagement & Representation

  • Represent Anduril to a broad audience including clients, partners, competitors, and the interested public.
  • Project the company's ethos and convey insights illustrating the approach to building next-generation defense technology.
  • Communicate Anduril's competitive edges in defense technology.
  • Perform significant international travel and trade show coordination.
  • Develop deep understanding and take responsibility for representing country-specific budget cycles.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior acquisition or operational experience with defense systems across a variety of roles and missions.
  • Prior experience working with foreign militaries or ministries of defense, with emphasis on current operational needs and relationships across key partners in the Middle East.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives and customers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience shaping and leading capture efforts in the defense industry.
  • Prior experience working with FMS/DCS and direct international customers with a strong understanding of FMS/DCS processes, including navigating licensing and releasability.
  • High ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial, and creative environment.
  • Builder who is adaptive and can lead new and innovative approaches to market.
  • Comfortable working in limited resource environments.
  • Intermediate or advanced level Arabic language ability.

Additional Information

Travel & Location

  • Based in the UAE.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% – 75%.

Security Clearance

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S., U.K., Canada, New Zealand or Australian Secret security clearance.
