Role Overview

Role Purpose

Execute and optimize directional drilling operations to achieve targeted well trajectories while maintaining HSE/QHSE standards, collaborating with drilling teams to enhance well performance and reduce operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Execution

• Plan and execute directional drilling operations to achieve targeted well trajectories.
• Operate and monitor directional drilling equipment and adjust parameters as required.
• Work effectively in remote locations and high-pressure environments.

Technical Management

• Troubleshoot drilling equipment and operational challenges.
• Monitor drilling data and maintain accurate operational records.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers and teams to optimize well performance and reduce costs.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all HSE/QHSE standards and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in drilling operations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Earth Sciences, or related field.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of drilling operations, BHA, drill strings, drilling fluids, and pressure control.
• Knowledge of drilling and well design software, including wellbore positioning and anti-collision tools.
• Problem-solving and adaptability.
• Teamwork and communication.
• Strong QHSE awareness.
• Fluent English required.
• Arabic is an advantage.
