Diagnostic Technician

Role Overview

Diagnostic Technician position with Ali & Sons Holding LLC, located in Fujairah, UAE. This role supports workshop operations by diagnosing and resolving complex electrical, electronic, networking, and vehicle system issues.

Role Purpose

Accurately diagnose and resolve complex electrical, electronic, networking, and vehicle system faults while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position ensures technical faults are correctly identified, repaired, and documented throughout the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostics & Fault Resolution

• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, electronic, networking, and vehicle system faults using VDS and other diagnostic tools.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and review vehicle history to identify root causes.
• Perform guided fault-finding to identify issues systematically.
• Verify customer complaints and provide clear diagnostic findings and repair recommendations.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with Service Advisors, Parts Advisors, Team Leaders, and Workshop Controllers to arrange required repairs and parts.
• Identify and report vehicle quality issues.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure warranty procedures are followed.
• Prepare technical reports as required.
• Follow company SOPs and health & safety requirements.
• Support technical campaign requirements.

Knowledge & Development

• Stay updated on technical bulletins, new technologies, and technical campaigns.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge through training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Facility & Asset Management

• Maintain special tools and company assets.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

Qualifications & Experience

• High Diploma in Automotive Mechanics or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant diagnostic experience.
• Certified Master Technician qualification is required.
• Experience as an Automotive Senior Mechanic, Electrician, or Mechatronics professional is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical, electronic, and diagnostic systems.
• Computer literate with experience using diagnostic and workshop systems.
• Valid UAE Driving License is required.
