Design Coordinator- UAE National

Role Overview

Design Coordinator at Al Tayer Group in Dubai, UAE. This role coordinates with clients, external consultants, and Project Managers to ensure all design intent and specifications are adhered to until project handover.

Key Responsibilities

Design Coordination & Liaison

• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, landlords, and Al Tayer Group managers in design planning.
• Ensure timely handover of complete and accurate design deliverables.
• Liaise with the site team to ensure proper understanding of design document information.
• Respond as required to provide additional or supporting design information during project development and execution.

Design Development & Review

• Assist in the design and detailed development of assigned projects.
• Monitor progress and offer suggestions on design amendments or improvements.
• Thoroughly review all allocated client manuals and project applications.
• Conduct regular site visits for observations and compliance checks on previously reviewed design work.
• Generate design review reports.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all required deliverables are provided on time, are accurate, and are in accordance with the brief.
• Ensure compliance with required variations, adjustments, and other specified requirements and documentation.
• Ensure compliance on site of all reviewed design work.

Reporting & Advisory

• Advise the Project Manager on problems arising during the project, including client complaints, design errors, and required site adjustments or changes.
• Offer suggestions for problem resolution.
• Provide regular project progress reports to the Project Manager as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Architecture.
• 2–3 years of experience operating AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of preparing concept and detail drawings and designs gained through training or work experience.
• Preferably experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Thorough expertise and knowledge to solve design and project execution problems is an added advantage.
