Role Overview

Dermatology Nurse at Nahdi. Position reference 207675.

Role Purpose

Provide comprehensive nursing care in dermatology clinics utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based practice standards, and established clinical protocols. Ensure clinic readiness and support physicians in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Assessment

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care according to established policies and evidence-based practice.
• Complete nursing assessment and document medical history from patient.
• Document all relevant information correctly, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
• Act as an advocate for patients and families.

Clinical Operations & Safety

• Ensure the clinic is ready for effective use by the physician from consumable material stock level and medical equipment standpoint.
• Report equipment failures, safety and security issues, and/or reduction of supply inventory to nurse supervisor.
• Comply with all policies, procedures, clinical protocols, standards, and guidelines based on legislation and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Comply with policies for personal and patient safety and for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
• Promote a safe environment and safe patient care by embracing a safety culture.

Medications & Infection Control

• Adhere to Medicines Management for the safe keeping and administration of medication.

Collaboration & Quality

• Cooperate and work effectively with other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Contribute to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction.

Resource Management

• Maintain awareness of resource utilization, exercising care in the ordering and use of staff, equipment, and materials.
• Contribute to the achievement of cost efficiency savings on unit.

Professional Development

• Participate in self-education, training and development as applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing required.
• 2 years of clinical experience following the degree; no experience required for Saudi nationals with Bachelor's Degree.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure from country of origin required.
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) Licensure required.

Skills & Competencies

• Healthcare Information System proficiency.
• English and Arabic fluent speaking.

Additional Information

• Work environment: 100% indoors.
• Work schedule: 6 working days per week, 1 day off.
• Working hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
• Manager may assign additional duties based on business need.
