Role Overview

Demand Planner at Tamer Group.

Role Purpose

Manage demand forecasting and planning activities to ensure optimal inventory levels, support production scheduling, and meet customer service requirements while maintaining cost efficiency across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting & Planning

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data and market trends
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate business intelligence into planning models
• Adjust forecasts based on promotional activities, seasonal variations, and market conditions
• Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvements

Inventory Management

• Balance inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs
• Work with supply chain and operations teams to optimize stock positioning
• Review and analyze inventory turnover metrics

Stakeholder Coordination

• Partner with sales, production, and supply chain departments to align demand plans
• Communicate forecasts and planning assumptions to cross-functional teams
• Support customer service by ensuring product availability

Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze demand patterns and variability across product lines and customer segments
• Prepare demand reports and performance dashboards for management review
• Track key performance indicators including forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and service metrics

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in demand planning or demand forecasting role
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management principles
• Experience with ERP systems and demand planning software

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis
• Proficiency with demand planning tools and statistical forecasting methods
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
